Reputation Ink’s principal and president Michelle Calcote King recently provided Answering Legal with recommendations on how law firms should appropriately market their services during the current COVID-19 crisis.

In the article, “Legal Marketing Tips: How to Approach Selling Your Services During The COVID-19 Crisis?,” Michelle weighs in on how to best approach legal marketing while coronavirus dominates the news.

According to Michelle, most lawyers are crisis professionals so now is the time for attorneys to serve as trusted advisors for their clients. She says, “Lawyers should ask: what are the biggest pain points our clients have right now and how can I help them address those problems? Then they should quickly put together communications — whether it’s an article, webinar or social media post — with advice that is clear and concise, without promotional, salesy language.”

The article answers such questions as:

  • Should lawyers still be advertising?

  • What message should lawyers be looking to send out right now to potential clients?

  • What should lawyers avoid doing during this time?
