Legal marketing group reboots in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE (Feb. 14, 2018) — The Legal Marketing Association’s Jacksonville Local Steering Committee (LSC) has reformed, with plans for six educational events throughout the year and a kick-off social Feb. 22, 5:30 p.m., at River & Post.

The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) serves the needs and maintains the professional standards for professionals involved in marketing, business development, client service and communications in the legal profession.

The Jacksonville group is part of the LMA Southeastern Region (LMASE), consisting of 11 local steering committees: Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Columbia, Kentucky, Nashville, Orlando, Raleigh/Greensboro/Triad, South Florida and Tampa.

The group is being led by Principal & President of Jacksonville-based content marketing and public relations firm Reputation Ink, Michelle Calcote King. Dave Whiteside, Director, Client Growth & Success, Clients First Consulting, is serving as Vice Chair, and Kellie Erlacher, Marketing Manager, Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., is serving as Secretary.

The group plans to hold six educational events throughout 2018 on topics such as business development, networking and client relationship management.

“We have 10 professionals who are already members of the Legal Marketing Association here in Jacksonville,” King said. “However, the Jacksonville group isn’t limited to those professionals. We encourage local lawyers and anyone else involved in professional services marketing and business development to join us at our events. Our topics will be relevant to them, and they’ll benefit from networking with like-minded professionals.”
