Ashton Nichols is a writer and creative who loves to tell stories that have impact. Whether conducting industry research, drafting lead-generating content or developing a client media campaign, she loves every second of what she does.

A love for storytelling

Storytelling has been Ashton’s passion since she was a little girl, and she enjoys breaking down complex topics for readers of any kind. Prior to joining Reputation Ink, she worked for a corporate benefits company as a content writer, producing B2B-focused content.

As a former business reporter, Ashton covered startups, venture capital, the energy industry and more. Her writing has been featured in The Dallas Morning News, The Columbus Dispatch, Cincinnati Magazine and The Ohio Center for Investigative Journalism.

Ashton graduated from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She received the Society of Professional Journalist’s Julie Galvan Outstanding Graduate in Journalism Award in 2021 and is a former White House Correspondents’ Association Scholar.

An enthusiast of nature, reading and animals

Outside of the office, Ashton likes to adventure with her dog, Nilla. She is an avid hiker and loves everything to do with the outdoors. Her goal is to visit every U.S. National Park, but her favorite is Joshua Tree National Park. She enjoys writing creatively, reading good books, practicing yoga and chasing personal records on her Peloton.
