A graduate of the University of Georgia (who realizes she’s in Gator Country and bows her head respectfully to fellow SEC fans), Shelby has extensive writing, social media and copy editing experience.
From reporting to Repping Ink
Before joining Reputation Ink, Shelby worked as both the copy editor and reporter for MarketingSherpa, a vendor-neutral publisher focusing on all spheres of marketing from b2c and inbound to b2b and e-mail. During her time at MarketingSherpa, Shelby served as the sole copy editor for the brand, working with the content and marketing teams.
While at MarketingSherpa, Shelby developed a love for analytics, running tests on newsletters sent daily to thousands of readers. Shelby also interviewed marketers on and off camera to develop content for the site. Her experience at such a wide-reaching marketing research institute gave Shelby a taste to not just write about the exciting things happening in content marketing today, but to be a part of it. Enter: Reputation Ink.

Shelby takes her passion for writing into her free time. When she's not cheering on the Dawgs or devouring gluten-free cupcakes, she's stalking the public library for her latest book haul. Shelby also copy edits novels in her spare time. However, she is the mother to one human child and two canines so free time is a rumor of days past in the Gambrell home. These days Shelby and husband Ryan are much more likely to be found exhaustedly watching Netflix.
